Grupo Enesa is a private equity fund that invests and manages companies in the energy and health sectors in Mexico and Latin America. Its leadership team is integrated by a group of professionals who have extensive experience in finance and management operations, as well as a broad knowledge of the industries and markets in which the fund participates. The fund operates under a long-term strategy, focused on building solid, high potential organizations.

He was Chairman of the Directive Board of Telmex, Carso Global Telecom and Ideal, as well as a member of the AT&T board. He currently participates on several boards, such as Bimbo, Honeywell International, and Chicago Booth GSB. From 1995 to 2006 he held the position of Managing Director of Telmex. He is also a former Managing Director of Grupo Condumex, Euzkadi/General Tire de México, and Fimbursa.

Grupo Enesa divests Laboratorio Médico Polanco and Laboratorios Ruiz to Médica Sur, one of the biggest hospital groups in the country. Enesa Salud operated both labs for more than 5 years.

Enesa Energía is creating a strategic alliance with Invenergy, a company that develops and operates power plants in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Together they will develop energy projects in Mexico.

Enesa Energía and Green Gas develop power generation projects using biogas and biomass.
Selmec arrives to Tultitlán.
Selmec starts up its plant in Tultitlán, State of Mexico, one of the most modern plants of its kind in America. With an area of approximately 10,000 m2, the plant will improve the quality of its products and increase its production capacity fivefold.
PEMEX chose Enesa's consortium.
Petróleos Mexicanos chose the consortium consisting of Enesa Energía, Invenergy, Clean Power, and Mexichem to develop the Cactus Cogeneraton project. The project will involve building a power plant and an associated transmission system that will have a preliminary capacity to generate 530 megawatts and 500 tons of steam per hour.
