JAIME CHICO PARDO

Chairman and CEO of Grupo Enesa.

 

Jaime Chico Pardo is the former Chairman of the Directive Board of Telmex, Carso Global Telecom, Ideal, as well as a member of the board of a variety of companies, AT&T among them. From 1995 to 2006 he occupied the position of CEO of Telmex. Before he joined the Telmex team, he was CEO of Grupo Condumex, Euzkadi/General Tire de México, and Fimbursa. He built his career in the international banking industry with Banamex and started an investment bank, IFI de México, in 1984.

Today he is a board member of Bimbo, Honeywell International, and Chicago Booth GSB. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and he earned a MBA from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Grupo Enesa’s leadership team is known for its deep training and experience in managing companies in different sectors.

CARLOS CÁRDENAS BLÁSQUEZ

Carlos is the President of Enesa Energía, he participates on the investment committee, and he owns a seat on the Directive Board of Grupo Enesa, he is also Managing Director of Capital Energetico Mexicano (CEM).

Carlos Cárdenas was part of América Móvil for more than 12 years. During this time, he worked as Chief Operations Officer and Operations Director for Latin America. Before joining América Móvil, he held several positions in Telmex, including Operations Director at Buscatel and Vice-President of Operations at Telmex USA. He is also a former Director at Grupo Financiero Inbursa.

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana.

SANTIAGO CHICO SERVITJE

President of Enesa Salud, he participates on the investment committee, and he has a seat on the Board of Directors of Grupo Enesa.

 

Santiago served as an investment analyst at Grupo Financiero Inbursa and was co-founder of PCFIX. He has also held positions with Philipp Morris, JPMorgan, América Móvil, Condumex and Prodigy USA.

 

He holds a degree in Technology and Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac and he earned a MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

GABRIEL HAJJ

CEO at Selmec and Director of Enesa, he also participates on the investment committee and is a member of the Board of Directors of Grupo Enesa.

 

Previously he was co-founder and served as Managing Director at Play Telecom. He also worked with The Boston Consulting Group in Mexico and the United States. He worked in strategic planning at Grupo Modelo and before that at Satmex.

 

He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Anáhuac, where he graduated at the top of his class, he also holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

ROLANDO ZÁRATE ROCHA

CEO of Hubard since 2001, today he is Board Member of Grupo Enesa and PROCURA.

Rolando Zárate worked for 30 years at Ingenieros Civiles Asociados (ICA) and became CEO of Urban Construction and CEO of ICA Puerto Rico.

He graduated from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México with a degree in Civil Engineering and holds a Diploma in Senior Business Management from IPADE.

JOSÉ JAVIER VARGAS CAÑADA

Javier Vargas is currently Grupo Enesa’s Information Technology Director. For five years, he was Director of Operations and Co-Founder of the unified communications service company VSYS, which was acquired by Telmex in the first quarter of 2014.

 

Javier worked at Hewlett-Packard for ten years, assumed different leadership responsibilities in the Software and Consulting business units. He also worked at Teléfonos de México for eight years, where he participated in the creation, development, and operation of data networks and Internet services.

 

He has served as a professor in master degree programs at the Instituto Tecnológicos de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and Universidad Iberoamericana, as well as presenting at various forums on technology-related issues.

 

He received his degree in Cybernetics Engineering from La Salle University and holds an EMBA degree from IPADE.

GERARDO MUÑOZ

Gerardo is Chief Financial Officer at ENESA Energía, he owns a seat on the energy investment committee, and on its Board of Directors.

 

He was involved in the international expansion of América Móvil from 2000 to 2014, where he served the roles of CFO and CEO in three countries: Ecuador, Colombia and Chile.

Gerardo was also responsible for Investment Relations in Telmex from 1995 to 2000, and worked in different finance positions in Grupo Condumex from 1988 to 1995.

He holds his Bachelor’s degree in Actuary from Universidad Anáhuac, and a graduate degree in Direction of Operations from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

EDUARDO FLORES

Eduardo has been the Legal Director of Grupo Enesa for 4 years, where he led different operational restructuring process.

 

For 3 years, he was Legal Director of Red Legal, he served as Legal Manager in Grupo Corvi for 10 years, where he participated in the process of selling "La Corona" to Grupo Bimbo. He also intervened in the process of divestiture of Corvi Group from the Mexican Stock Exchange.

 

Eduardo holds a degree in Law from the Centro Universitario México (CUM); Has master's degrees in Private Law and Constitutional Law, as well as specializations in Energy, Corporate, Financial and Stock Law.
